In the 2000s, he discovered Les Grands Montets Hotel & Spa in Argentiere. A hidden gem located 300 meters away from Grands Montets’ slopes and a ten-minute walk to the town center. Since then, he came back every year with his children, seduced by the charm of this authentic mountain chalet where guests were feeling at home.

He tried other renowned addresses in Chamonix valley, even other ski resorts, but he always ended up coming back to Les Grands Montets Hotel & Spa which became its favorite holiday destination.

When the hotel’s owners at the time mentioned that they wanted to sell the property, Jean-Sebastien Beslay decided to commit himself to this new adventure and took his first step in the hospitality industry. In October 2018, he bought the hotel! The finance expert took over the leadership of the alpine chalet and got behind the scenes of such a magical place.

Therefore, with the help of his team, he has kept sharing his passion for the hotel and the mountains, always keeping in mind that the main goal was guests’ satisfaction.

Hence, he tackled renovation works starting with the wellness center, entirely refurbished during spring 2019; then with the hotel’s façade, insulated and covered with a wood siding during fall seasons 2019 and 2020. Several Standard rooms are converted into Superior rooms each autumn. And in 2022, an brand new exterior hot tub has been placed on the terrace. In 2023, a brand new meeting room has been built.

If you are fortunate enough, you might meet him while you are staying at the hotel as he keeps spending his holidays there. Quite talkative, he will be happy to have a cup of tea and discuss with you, also listen to your suggestions as he cares about your experience.

The hotel near Geneva and Chamonix now offers a total of 39 rooms, including 2 suites overlooking Mont-Blanc, 1 Suite, 3 Junior Suites, 7 duplex which are ideal for families and 26 Standard and Superior rooms.
